The Marching Blue Jackets
JUNIOR MARCHING BAND
For over 25 years, The St. Cloud All-City Marching Band has been putting high-school students on the street. In 1999 we added seventh and eigth graders to the ranks. Well, why should high school and junior high students have all the fun?
In summer 2008, the very first St. Cloud All-City Junior Band hit the streets at the annual Granite City Days parade.
The Blue Jackets are comprised of only sixth grade students from area elementary schools. ANY area sixth grader from ANY area school that does not offer a marching band opportunity is welcome to join. The program is designed to allow younger students to participate and to see what a marching program is all about – and to experience how much fun it can be! The program and schedule for the Marching Blue Jackets is designed for minimal commitment and MAXIMUM fun!
And, no experience is ever neccessary! We’ll teach the students everything they’ll need to know – even if they don’t currently play an instrument!
And there is no cost. Students even get a cool t-shirt.
